what if you trusted yourself?

how many times have you known the answer before you were willing to admit it?

you knew the friendship wasn’t working.

you knew you didn’t want the job any longer.

you knew you stayed when you should have left.

you knew you needed to make a change, but kept looking for one more reason to stay where you were.

this is where intuition gets interesting.

intuition isn’t a mysterious voice or a feeling that comes out of nowhere. a lot of the time, it’s your brain recognizing patterns from everything you have already experienced.

you’ve seen enough, felt enough and learned enough.

but knowing something and trusting yourself enough to act on it are two different things.

do you wait until you can justify a decision to someone before making it?

that’s the part worth questioning.

why does your decision need to make sense to everyone else?

why do you need permission to change your mind?

why do you assume someone else’s opinion should carry more weight than your own experience?

intuition is useful when we stop treating ourselves like we need an outside authority.

that doesn’t mean ignoring facts. ask questions and do your homework. then notice what happens when you have all the information.

there may still be a decision underneath it. and more often than not, you already know. the problem isn’t that we don’t have intuition. it’s that we’ve become very good at negotiating with ourselves.

we explain away the red flag. we dismiss hesitation. we convince ourselves to stay. we choose what is expected instead of what is true for us.

trusting your intuition is about creating trust with yourself.

start small if you don’t want to do something, notice it. if you feel drawn toward something, notice that too. if you answer changes, let it change.

not every feeling is a life lesson. just become honest about what you are experiencing. because the more often you pause and listen to yourself, more self trust develops.

and that is the purpose of intuition: not to tell you exactly what to do.

but to remind you that you are capable of knowing what is right for you.
