when you’re ready to press the pause
often we come to the pause because we’re tired.
not necessarily exhausted from doing too much, but tired of living the same day over and over again.
the same routines. thoughts. patterns. conversations. version of ourselves showing up.
we reach a breaking point.
a relationship changes. a career no longer feels meaningful. the kids grow up. our body starts speaking louder.
or nothing is happening at all and we realize:
i don’t want to live like this anymore
not because life is terrible. because we stopped feeling fully alive.
the pause begins there.
in the practice of the pause, something starts to come back.
curiosity. courage. playfulness. desire and the inner spark.
the part of you that got quieter while you were too busy being everything for everyone else.
the pause is the autocorrect.
to interrupt the patterns before another year goes by looking exactly like the last.
to make new choices. to take the trip. to rest. to say no. to try something new.
and just know, while the pause doesn’t have all the answers, it just stops us long enough to remember what we’re living.
and what could be worth more than that?
