nothing worthwhile happens in a rush

how often do we rush ourselves?

we rush to make a decision. rush to answer. rush to get somewhere. rush to figure out what’s next.

even when there is no reason to hurry.

i’ve been thinking about how little of real value in our lives actually happens quickly.

a good relationship takes time to build. knowing what you really want takes time. creating a life you love takes time.

yet we are constantly encouraged to move faster.

i think we rush because we don’t like uncertainty. we want to know the answer. we want to know what happens next. we want to feel like something is happening.

so we make the decision. we say yes. we fill the space.

but what if we didn’t?

what if we gave ourselves time?

not because we’re indecisive but becomes clarity needs room.

there is a difference between knowing and simply wanting something to be settled.

when i’m rushing, i can convince myself that i know exactly what i want.

when i pause, i realize i was reacting to fear, pressure, someone else’s expectations or simply the discomfort of not knowing.

that’s why the pause matters,

it gives you a chance to hear yourself before the mind takes over.

you don’t have to make every decision today.

you don’t need to have tomorrow figured out.

allow things to unfold.

maybe that is one of the hardest things for us to accept, to slow down isn’t falling behind.

it’s how we finally see where we’re going.

so the next time you feel the urge to hurry. stop. take a breath. give it space.

you already know the answer.

it’s in the pause.
