the answer you seek is yourself

how many times have you looked outside yourself for an answer?

you ask a friend what they think.

you search for advice.

you read a book.

you listen to the podcast.

you ask someone who has been where you are.

there is nothing wrong with any of that.

sometimes we genuinely need another perspective. but there comes a point when more information doesn’t bring more clarity. it just creates more noise.

because underneath all the opinions, advice and possibilities, there is often something you already know.

you just haven’t given yourself enough space to hear it.

we have become very good at outsourcing our knowing.

we look for someone to tell us what to do, how to feel, what comes next or whether we’re making the right decision. and sometimes we do this because we’re afraid of getting it wrong.

what if I choose the wrong relationship? what if I leave the job? what if I stay? what if I disappoint someone? what if people don’t understand?

so we keep asking.

but the more we look outside ourselves for certainty, the further we can get from our own ability to make a decision.

the answer isn’t always obvious. and knowing what is right for you doesn’t mean you won’t feel afraid.

it means can you hear yourself underneath the fear.

this is where the pause matters.

a pause isn’t about having all the answers.

it’s about creating enough space to notice what is actually happening inside you. what do you want? what don’t you want anymore? what are you tolerating? what feels like a yes? what feels like a no? what keeps coming back to your attention, even when you try to ignore it? and most importantly: if nobody else had an opinion, what would you choose?

that question can change things. because sometimes the answer we’re looking for isn’t missing. it’s buried underneath everyone else’s expectation.

your answer may not be what you expected

it might ask you to change direction. it might ask you to stay. it might ask you to take a risk.

your inner knowing doesn’t always arrive as some dramatic revelation.

sometimes it’s quiet. sometimes it’s the feeling you keep overriding.

sometimes it’s the sentence you don’t want to admit.

sometimes it’s the relief you feel when you tell yourself the truth.

you don’t need to become someone else to find the answer

you don’t need another version of yourself. you need to pause long enough to hear the person who has been there all along. the person who knows what feels right.
