you deserve to be nourished

pay attention to how you feel around the people in your life and in the environments you spend your time in.

do you feel relaxed or on edge? can you be yourself, or are you constantly adjusting who you are to make others comfortable? do your surroundings give you energy, or leave you feeling depleted?

these questions matter because what surrounds you influences how you experience your life.

we often become so accustomed to our environments that we stop questioning them. we tolerate relationships that drain us, stay in places that no longer feel right, and convince ourselves that feeling exhausted is simply part of being an adult.

but it doesn’t have to be.

you deserve relationships where you feel respected, environments where you can breathe, and people who genuinely want to see you thrive. you deserve conversations that leave you feeling connected rather than questioning your worth.

this doesn’t mean every person in your life must make you happy or every environment must be comfortable. life will always bring challenges. the difference is whether the people and places around you support your well-being or continually take away from it.

sometimes, nourishing yourself means making changes. spending less time with certain people. finding spaces that bring you peace. saying no without explaining yourself a dozen times. or simply giving yourself permission to want something different.

you don’t have to wait until you’re completely exhausted to make a change.

your life is shaped, in part, by what you allow yourself to remain surrounded by.

take a pause today and look at your surroundings honestly. what nourishes you? what depletes you? and what small change could you make to create more room for the people and places that help you feel most like yourself?

you deserve to live in an environment that supports the life you’re trying to build, not one you constantly have to recover from.
