the pause is where love finds you

i used to think awakening was something you reached.

like one day you’d finally have all the answers, feel peaceful all the time and life would make sense.

now i see it differently.

awakening isn’t about finding anything that was missing. it’s about removing everything that was covering up who you already are.

the pause taught me that.

when i’ve looked outside of myself, i forget that the relationship i’m living every single day is the one i have with me.

that’s why the pause feels weird at first. it introduces you to someone you’ve been avoiding.

but if you stay there long enough, you get revealed.

you stop trying to become a greater version of yourself and accept the one that’s already here.

and from that place, love doesn’t feel like something you need to look for anymore. it feel familiar.

almost like coming home after being away for a very long time.

i don’t think that’s the end of awakening. i think that’s where it begins.
