the courage to be vulnerable: where you meet your true self

there is a softness that comes when we stop trying so hard to hold ourselves together.

the world rewards the polished version of ourselves, the woman who has it all figured out, who stays composed, who knows what to say, who doesn’t need to much, feel too much or reveal too much.

but there is another kind of strength.

the strength of vulnerability.

vulnerability is not a weakness. it is the willingness to take off the layers we have built to protect ourselves and ask “who am i?”

we don’t even realize how much of our identity has been shaped by expectations. who we were told to be. who we learned to become. the roles we play. the version of ourselves we created based on conditioning and programming.

and then at some point, something whispers: “this isnt’ me.”

vulnerabilty gives us the courage to listen.

when we can admit “i don’t know, i’m afraid, i’m hurt, i need help, i want something different or even i’m not happy anymore,” we move beyond the constructed self.

we stop doing.

we start discovering.

we listen inwardly.

we pause.

and then…

we discover emotions we have been avoiding, desires we have silenced and been to busy to hear.

and then start revealing…

a woman who is curious.

a woman who knows what she wants.

a woman who doesn’t need approval.

a woman who can say no.

a woman who loves herself.

a woman who can be both soft and strong.

vulnerability doesn’t create this woman.

it reveals her.
